NFT Math (01/18–01/24)

Hello! And welcome back to NFT Math episode 2! Yes, I decided to continue this weekly updates style NFT recap of the things and storylines that happened in the last 7 days from the biggest projects in the game. Gonna keep it short cause this is the point, to quickly catch you up with the biggest headlines. Let’s get into it.

1. Azuki

The clear winner at the box office this week is Azuki! Which is managed to escape the fate of many NFT projects that drop post-reveal. Feels like people really connected to art on that one, with the current floor price of 3.5 after 2.5 last week pre-reveal. Will be interesting to see what it’s gonna look like next week.

2. HAPE Prime

The last time project started so hot was months ago, Mekaverse didn’t end up living up to the hype, we’ll see if HAPE Prime can do better. Still pre-reveal, floor price right now is at 7.35. They wanna be a brand and have big plans, specifically in the fashion industry. Reveal is on February 1st.

3. Bored Ape Yacht Club

Is actually up from the previous week all-time high floor 83 to 88 this week. Probably have to with ETH having a truly “this is fine” couple of days. Still impressive numbers to see.

13. Doodles

Doodles are down a bit from the previous week, right now at 9.5 floor. Not surprising considering the project had such a huge run-up weeks prior. Honestly surprises me that it’s not in the top 10 in volume. Maybe next week.

23. adidas Originals Into the Metaverse

Somewhat surprising to see the project with only 1, even tho it’s a 30000 circulation NFT that high on this list. With the current floor price at 1.14, the collab between Adidas, BAYC, PUNKS Comic and GMONEY definitely got some more interest this week. Maybe the lower ETH price makes it more attractive to a more casual collector.

29. Cool Cats

Cool Pets. Do I need to say more? Next week we find out how much of the Cool Cats companion price is baked in into the current floor at 12. Personally really excited about minting one on Friday, thank you so much to Jennifer Sutto for the allowlist spot. I have a good feeling that Doodles and Cool Cats should be at the same price soon, does that makes Cool Pets floor 2.5 next week?

34. DeadFellaz

Somewhat forgot to talk about them last week but DeadFellaz has been doing really well on a steady incline since December with right now settling at 3.5. Another fun piece of news about them is that their new collection Deadfrenz has been revealed with 13 species that gonna drop on February 13. Check out their blog for more about that.

51. SlimHoods

Also, 58. MoodRollers. Both currently at 1.8, projects have been on a steady rise after it’s been revealed that holders will get a whitelist to mint highly anticipated Invisible Friends. With Friends being closer to the release and getting more and more attention will be interesting to see if the price on both Hoods and Rollers will continue to rise.

84. Smilesss

Just wanna congratulate Smilesss holders, the project finally crossed 1 ETH floor this week. Volume might not be crazy but the passionate community that stay with the project for months that it’s been stuck in the 0.2 range finally have something to celebrate!
