NBA Top Shot Weekly Updates (11/8–11/14)
Hello! It’s Sunday, you know what it is, a new episode of the Weekly Updates! Gotta be honest, a very light week in the Top Shot world, not a lot of things going on right now at all. We had a second S3 pack drop, some challenges and a few things in the community that I would like to highlight! So let’s get into it!
Packs, Marketplace and Updates
Series 3 release 2 pack drop happened this week, there were 350k packs available and you were allowed to buy 10 packs max (as for the entire series 3 base packs run), 5 max per transaction and 9$ per pack! Packs featured new moments from rookies like Josh Giddey and LE star moments like LaMelo Ball. But if you like me then you likely got just 3 2$ moments, and yes, I opened a pack this time, S3 is a different ball game, so you might wanna adjust your game plan.
OK, it’s time for the floor prices! Also, with so many new series and tiers, as well as the WNBA addition, it’s a lot, so please let me know if you think floor prices should be shortened.
As for the updates, we had only one, WNBA update about the Diana Taurasi challenge and W Fandom set. You can read more about it right here!
Challenges
Smooth transaction into the challenge themselves, mentioned above Diana Taurasi challenge ended this week with 122 completions, becoming the rarest WNBA moment on a site to date!
We have 2 challenges currently going on, if you read this on Sunday, you might wanna hurry, they end on Monday afternoon! The first one is the Vintage Vibes Chamique Holdsclaw challenge, where you have to collect 5 WNBA RIB moments that are dunks or layups! And Kawhi Leonard, Vintage Vibes as well, that challenge requires 5 NBA RIB former MVP moments! Also, wanna note that ending challenges from the same set at the same time is just not cool for folks with limited Dapper who wanna complete that set, come on Top Shot!
Community
So yeah, I opened a new pack this week, for the first time since April, still holding my gold S2 packs! And I did it on the Evaluate.Market Discord Pack Opening Party, that are happen every week and if you have a pack to open, which you very well might have since you can buy 10 packs a week now, come join us! You can win some moments for just being there too, sometimes better ones that you get in the pack itself haha!
Collector score, I know, it can be complicated. This is why I recommend checking this article from Steve Veerman. In which he does a pretty good job explaining all the things collector score as well as creating a really nice graph of the collector score points, tiers, series and bonuses!
Last but not least, Ballerz! Something that I’m pretty sure y’all saw on your Twitter timelines! Why I wanted to mention it here, well first, the Top Shot community loves them, I’ve seen so many TS collectors changing their profile pics to the Ballerz NFT. The second is that you could’ve bought your Ballerz NFT with the Dapper balance, the same way you pay for TS moments and packs, interesting!
